Online Lessons

Mandolessons.com is a free resource that has everything from learning tunes to technique building. This is the perfect place for a mandolin player at any level. I’ve learned so much from this website. When teaching tunes Baron slows down each phrase and repeats them until you really get it. He also has downloadable sheet music, and backing tracks with various speeds.

Peghead Nation This site has a monthly subscription where you pay for each course. Courses are regularly updated and they have a wide range of subjects from beginner to advanced. You can learn from the best of the best. As a mandolin player, I’ve taken lessons from Joe K. Walsh and John Reischman. My wife has taken the beginner guitar course and she told me that she learned a lot from it.

Artistworks is also a subscription based site where you can learn from the best of the best. I haven’t personally joined this site, but my buddy took the Bryan Sutton guitar course and told me he loved it.
